PROBLEM: Mai’s Matcha had a strong philosophy centered on heritage, sustainability, and community, but its social media lacked the visual consistency needed to clearly communicate that story.

PITCH: The creative direction positioned Mai’s Matcha as a fresh yet timeless voice in modern matcha culture, highlighting cozy moments, thoughtful rituals, and authentic matcha sourcing.

RESULT: I created a cohesive visual style and content framework that reflected the brand’s dreamy, inviting identity, making the social presence more polished, engaging, and aligned with its mission.

Check out some of the social content below.

I applied the visual identity beyond the logo across different brand touchpoints. A summer pop-up poster used the playful character and warm colors to catch attention, while a branded t-shirt turned the design into wearable merchandise that brings the café into the community.

To extend the brand beyond social media, I designed merchandise and other branded items, like t-shirts. These pieces bring Mai’s Matcha’s identity into everyday spaces, giving customers a tangible way to connect with the brand’s community, culture, and aesthetic.
